Military Trauma Team Training at Cooper University Health Care
Heart and Authenticity are at the core of any good story. The Military Medical Training Team at Cooper University Healthcare exuded both as they helped us tell their story highlighting their partnership with the Department of Defense that focuses on maintaining readiness among medical personnel in the US Military.
Central to this effort is the Army Medical Department Military-Civilian Trauma Team Training (AMCT3) program. This initiative embeds military medical professionals within civilian trauma teams at Level 1 trauma centers, such as Cooper University Healthcare. By working side-by-side with civilian staff, military medical personnel hone their skills during peacetime, ensuring they are prepared to deliver critical care whenever and wherever it is needed.
To capture the essence of this partnership, Narrative Media immersed itself in the team’s daily routines. Over several days, we shadowed trainees through the highs and lows of trauma alerts, surgeries, patient rounds, group seminars, and quieter, reflective moments. These experiences provided a window into the program’s dedication to excellence, teamwork, and readiness.
The resulting story celebrates the program’s achievements and serves as a powerful tool to promote its effectiveness. It will be showcased at conferences and speaking engagements to advocate for the ongoing success and expansion of this invaluable initiative.
